Prunus maritima

Beach Plum

Beach Plum has white flowers that cover the plant in May, turning to small reddish-purple plums in mid-summer. Birds love the fruit, but so should people as it makes a delicious jam when you figure out how to remove the pits. Prunus maritima is a great salt tolerant, seashore native.
